THE AUTHOR
Roy Whenary lives and
works in the English West Country town of Totnes, near Dartmoor, amidst
beautiful rolling hills, and close to the rugged South Devon coastline.
Roy has been known for
many years for his involvement in the New Age Music field,
in which he has worked for over 15 years. In recent years he co-founded DEEP
SPIRIT MUSIC with composer Robert Nicholas, and they collaborated to
produce a range of 6 CDs (with such titles as CELESTIAL LOVE, ZEN RIVER,
CIRCLES OF STONE, BEYOND THE MIST, ETERNAL HARMONY & HEALING COLOURS).
In December 2003 he completed a compilation CD (INNER PEACE, INNER JOY)
of music from his 1987 albums
STARLIGHT and INNER PEACE.
Roy
has been writing all his adult life (he was born in 1951), and has in
the past produced several small booklets of poetry and prose - mainly
for friends. He has also composed several New Age Music albums -
including INNER PEACE, STARLIGHT, DAWN AWAKENING & SPIRIT OF THE WHALE
(a collaboration with Ian Waugh - creator of
Making
Music).
Roy is the founder of
LOTUS HARMONY PUBLISHING and THE TEXTURE OF BEING is the company's first
book. He is currently writing a second book.
Roy's interest in
Eastern spiritual philosophies began in the late 1960's, and his main
inspirations have been J.Krishnamurti, Nisargadatta Maharaj and Jean
Klein (to whom the book THE TEXTURE OF BEING is dedicated).
